BackMarker Brigade are the Cleanest, Friendliest & Most Fun Simracing Team on the Planet

Simon Smith’s New Commentating Commitments!

With Race Dept’s switch to SimRace TV and MultiBC, Simon Smith is back in the commentary box for a lot of new events over the next few weeks!

Starting this Friday the ATCC championship ran by Keith Barrick is off and running and this will be shown via MultiBC on their own website and hopefully on Race Departments front page too. This will run fortnightly. Check the forums for the race times in your area but beware Europeans, its an American ran event!

Following on from that on 13th November, RDLMS kicks off with the 6 hours of Monza. Simon Smith will be there from midaday to survive through it with you all and best of luck to drivers Ryan Walker, Craig Johnston and Dan Long who line up for BackMarker Brigade on the GT2 class.

Also over at Grand Prix Online, SimRaceTV will be broadcasting the final two rounds of the challenge championship. Interlagos is this saturday and Abu-Dhabi in two weeks time, both kick off at 7.15 GMT.

Of course GRC’s coverage continues Monday’s at 8.10 GMT.

Muru Grabs Podium In Fantastic GRC Div 1 Debut!

Rando Muru grabbed a historic podium for BackMarker Brigade on their Division 1 debut as after a gutsy drive to 9th in the sprint race, Muru made use of a nifty pit strategy to come home 3rd, battling for the lead in the gripping closing laps.

Muru, the sole BMB entrant this week, surprised everyone with 8th in qualfying and he spent both races battling around the top 8. However on the feature race, an early pitstop got him out of traffic and a clear run saw him shoot up to second with just a few laps remaining. However after a titanic scrap with Jeffrey Ruskus and Martin Palm he came home 3rd with a well deserved podium.

“I’m so pleased for Rando” said team boss Smith. “He works so hard and drove such aggressive and professional races, he deserved to be on the top step.”

Smith joins Gary Gray and Paul Huggett next week for division 2, while Gray and Smith along with Marco Vandenbroeck broadcasted the full race event over at PSRTV.
